This is the fastest VPN service i ever used, i use VPN to prevent the ISP spy, they don’t wanna me to use p2p or usenet, so i need a VPN service, speed is only thing i care, so far, i am very happy with VyprVPN
Recommend to the people who like downloading things.
I tried VyprVPN with my Giganews account. The speed was pretty good but i had to many disconnection. That’s the worst thing for a VPN provider!!!
I asked the support which gave me an answer really fast but im’ still having these disconnections problems…
VyprVPN rocks. I don’t notice any speed reduction using it download torrents. I have a 20 megabit line too. I mostly just use the U.S. servers. I’d think the Hong Kong one might work well in China. I do wonder why they have relatively few server cities. I assume this is because they are still pretty new. I definitely recommend the service though.
Overall, not a bad provider for VPN services. Support is very quick to answer, but if the issue is more complicated, it can take 1 to 2 days to resolve.
For my location, the speed was terrible. This may not be an issue for others as this can differ by where you are located. I could barely get 500 kb per second on a 7mb broadband connection.
I would say this is a good company and worth the cost as long as you can get good speed from your location. If not, then look elsewhere.
1. fast vpn service.
2. fast and easy signup (very few details are required).
3. excellent support and they answer you really fast.
4. never had any disconnections.
At $20 a month they’re a bit expensive, but I found that coming from the US the speed was the best ive tried so far (this is my 4th VPN provider). The support seems very good, and most importantly I had some billing issues that I think other providers would of ignored and kept the money, but they fixed things to make sure I was happy with their service. Ive recommended them to a few friends.
VyprVPN has been a solid service for me so far.
Pros:
speed
works with p2p
multiple protocols
human support answered in a reasonable amount of time
stays connected
Cons:
few gateway cities
price
lacks custom software
I tried VyprVPN after Lifehacker rated it as the best VPN service. I must say that I’m impressed. The speeds are fast with all the servers, and I haven’t encountered any errors.
I am able to stream Hulu from Britain perfectly. This VPN provider is top notch.
Poor customers support, waiting for days for my email to be answered. The speed is not that great at all like these guys above say. I think I was deceived by the comments on this site, this VPN provider is not worth my money. I wanna my money back
Super fast and super secure
Best VPN provider at the moment!
I use it daily – and in normal web browsing and streaming content of the web i.e. video etc, then it is safe and fine. But when I start to download from Giganews itself, then let’s just say heavy traffic, almost always causes a disconnection. As a diamond customer, I get this free and at first. I had no connection problems, but I think it has become so popular, that heavy traffic on their systems causes some type of issue, which means disconnection errors are becoming increasingly regular. I hope they fix it, before I start to look for another VPN provider.
Oh and one other thing, the reason I am even looking at this user review site, is because I was trawling Google, looking for an answer to the disconnection problem. Still haven’t found anyone with a good answer, I think it is a problem that users can not fix, it is in this case a server side issue and that means the company has to fix it.
Fast from my location. Customer service answered a question within 30 minutes of my asking. No disconnection problems. I feel safe in recommending this service.
was a very good service for about 10 months – with decent speeds and very low disconnects. all this till i was booted off their servers for downloading torrents. emails sent to their support teams (through the website and in response to their dmca email address) were not responded to. when i phone them, the only response i got was ‘send us an email’.
if you are not looking to download torrents or use p2p, this may be a good option. otherwise trawl the internet for more options.
Been with these guys for ages recently upgraded to open VPN and have 256bit encryption option,as a diamond user i get Mimo a bit flakey but getting much better, with consistant upgrades.
Also offered Dump truck not to sure if i need it though, have never really had any major issues and when i did had a fast response from the Giganews guys, all in all very happy will use for years to come at this rate.
Running VyprVPN on Windows7. No problems, fast speeds, etc., etc. I don’t use all the time, just when I need to go stealth for one reason or another. Primarily use in the US, but connect to some of the foreign sites (UK, Hong Kong), depending on where I want websites to think I am accessing from. Speed is diminished just a little bit when using the overseas VPN server. Speed is very good for US servers, negligible difference. Reliability is rock solid.
I haven’t used this outside of the country, so I cannot comment on accessibility. Setup was a breeze in Windows 7, as no client is needed. The only downside is that it is a little expensive, but we have this bundled with Giganews, so we absorb the cost there. This is well worth the cost.
WARNING!
I purchased this VPN service and never had a chance to test speed or reliability.
They will take your money …. Then in the umbrella of “taking credit card fraud seriously” they will probe and make sure your identity is 100% exposed (found this strange, …. what a great way to have the monopoly on identity information … offer a VPN service.
After several e-mails over couple days, they persisted in knowing my true IP … I explained I’m using a VPN and want to test your service if there is better.
Nope !!! , they wanted me to turn off any VPN and follow a link to verify my true IP.

*Privacy *Security *Freedom
What they do with your Privacy / Security / Freedom is a good question.
I’m no ‘IT’ expert, but with over 20yrs on the net … and 50 yrs on the street … something fishy about this company.
After I threatened to give them bad reviews, *** they activated my account, after several days of total BS.
I replied, *** keep my money, I do not trust you people.
Surf safe people~
I was over all pleased with this service. It is very fast. I had no and I mean NO reduction of speed at all. The OpenVPN did not work sometimes, this was a constant issue, but I also never contacted customer service as L2p worked just fine and that was ok for what I needed it for. I would recommend this service to anyone who wants a super fast service, and who can pay the price for it.
Pro:
SUPER fast!!!
Worked well with android
Price was reasonable, but could be better
Cons:
Lack of servers. If they add more servers esp in Korea I would come back to them. However for the price, and the fact I need a Korean server I am sadly forced to go elsewhere which is a shame because it is bar none the best service out there!
I really wanted to like this service but I simply could not. The account verification process left a bad taste in my mouth as they sent me an email stating that my account was activated only to find out after a few hours of frustration that it was not activated because they needed the name of my unborn child to verify my account.
I had a few “startup” questions and the responses from the customer service group really did not address the issue and simply made me mad. The poor customer service continued to deteriorate as I started asking questions about L2TP from Android and spent several “back and forth’s” with them only to find on my own that the issue is an Android issue not a Vypr VPN issue. Why couldn’t they have told me that from the start? It was fast but I cannot stand giving my money to people who do not come across as credible.
I continue my search for a good VPN service.
Speed and support is best with these guys. Don’t use this with P2P. There are a few posts that say these guys will log your activity.
